Distances between galaxies is just mind boggling.

Astronomy is so freaking awesome. To think we are less than 125 years out from the invention of airplanes, and we have some like JWST out in space sending us back data & images like this. Glorious!

Am blown away at the fact this could be singled out. Like finding a painted grain of sand in the desert

I wish that I could comprehend all this. Unfortunately my poor little excuse of a brain is only capable of admiring the grandeur and technology of all the scientists who work on this..

So thankful of these videos to the general public for free. I watch cool worlds again and again on free times

I fell asleep for over 6 hours watching this video and it was still playing on loop when I woke up. By my estimates I watched it almost 500 times, LOL. I wonder what this has done to my algorithm.

It's astonishing to learn that every time we look further back into the early universe, we still find fully-formed galaxies that defy our expectations. How early could they have formed!? I'd be interested to learn about our theories for rapid galaxy formation

Things happen "faster" in the early universe because spacetime was more condensed when the universe was smaller. As the universe grows 'bigger', time will happen more slowly.
Same reason why time happens slower around a black hole, because the spacetime is squeezed, light covers the distance at the same speed as always, so the only other thing that can change with space is the rate of time. Einstein was right with his spacetime theory

As soon as I heard you say all of this while I was watching this episode yesterday. I immediately wanted to figure out a way to reach this ancient galaxy and explore it. I did the calculations and we’d have to figure out a way to travel over one trillion times the speed of light to catch up to this Elder Galaxy of the Cosmos!

I find it rather amazing that JWST is breaking these records almost daily, whereas Hubble had to be pointed at a spot for like two weeks. When are we going to see a serious deep field from JWST?
