Floyd's a natural lightweight like Tank. He's a knockout artist at that weight, too! But the money was at welterweight. So he moved up, but by this time, he had severe hand injuries. So, at this higher weight, plus having hand problems, it would take more to knock these guys out. Floyd had to win a different way. Defensively! If a fighter can't hit him, he can't score! Meanwhile, Floyd can hit the fighter. Even if it's not a real hard shot, he still wins the round.

That spasmatic defense Floyd developed never allows you a moment for a clean punch. His head goes back and moves like a knuckle ball. You can't hit him when he was so perfectly defended. Don't forget, Floyd has a beard. He's older now, but when he was young we were saying this is not Sugar Ray Leonard. He stands and throws hard, clean punches, but is fast and cleaver. Floyd had it all.
