Problem with this is that, at his best, it was every bit as hard to hit Mike as it ever was to hit Ali. Tyson hit far harder, so either Ali has to run, or he'll get flattened.

Spent some quality time with Alan around Surrey for many years. We were pallbearers at a friends funeral together. I asked him what his greatest moment in Boxing was, and surprisingly it was when he beat Kevin Finnegan for the British title. Loved a Guinness and was very sociable. Sad loss.

this has always been a ridiculous question. 1. I don't even consider Tyson in the top 20 p4p Greats. however, styles like Ali were tailormade for Tyson's style, we saw it in the Joe Frazier fight. Mike beats Ali 9/10 times, enough said. All this "Ali would've been too much for Tyson" is a played out narrative, the only fighters that were "too much for Tyson" were real brawns not brains that stood there piercing him up with brutal power punches standing toe to toe.
