Itâs a chain reaction,
- Kuki immigrants from Myanmar encroached forest land.
- Grow poppy for opium in the land. Money used for funding groups in Myanmar.
- Weapons sold to and training of insurgents done by China. Itâs been happening since the 60s, the likes of Issak and Muivah of NSCN were trained.
- Govt officials acted on the illegal encroachments and destroyed poppy crops.
