There should be a TV posted at the TSA checkpoint warning that not only will your knife be confiscated, but MC will get it and mock your knife on the Internet. They can just play this on a loop.

My dad taught me this. He did it with scuba diving in the grand Cayman, ive done it by mistake a few times at my home airport. About to walk through security and forget you have a knife on you and no checked bag. Run back into the parking lot and hide it. I clipped one up in a tree before, dug a small hole etc. Then when you return, it is there waiting for you. My dad would dive grand Cayman once a year. His knife was always waiting for him

That bear knife has pretty good lockup. Never saw a folder that can become a fixed blade unintentionally.

Iβve considered rolling the dice in one of these boxes, then I remember that the TSA folks get first dibs on blades and they have got to have a way to make the good ones disappear

I brought a 10 inch fixed blade on a plane on accident I had left it in my bag after camping and used the same bag to travel and when I get to Texas I found it.

All things considered the Ruko "zombie green" knife where he says "big guy" isn't that bad. It's not good by any means; the lock bar will over extend and the grip panels need to be re-glued. But as a beater knife it's not bad when kept maintained. Although in the same series as that Ruko, there's the RUK00075 series. Better build and less finicky. My favorite beater knife by far. Yes I believe beater knives are a category and everyone needs a few.
