A third version: put the rubber in a frame in a way that it touches a metal/copper plate. Have a little cut in the plate, and through this cut push the rubber (so it stretches and heat up) to another metal plate on the other side, so it can transfer the heat. After that let it unstretch and touch the other plate (with the cut), so it can remove the heat from that plate

Imagine you put the rubber tightly into a copper tube (can be made from 2 half copper tube). Main point it should touch the tube from inside. Now you stretch the rubber so it wont touch the wall of the tube any more. You force air through the tube to remove the heat from the rubber. When it is done unstretch the rubber so it touches the wall of the copper tube and let the heat remove from the tube.I know none of my ideas sounds too effective, but maybe it gives you a better idea

What if you had a thick latex balloon about 30 cm in diameter, with a very warm hollow metal ball above it in a tube were dropped upon it so that it not only transferred heat to the balloon, but also stretched it creating more heat? Then when the metal ball bounced up, the balloon could lose heat and reform to roundness again ready for the next impact.

I do not think it is efficient enough, but imagine you keep the rubber slightly stretched in a frame. Now you rotate this frame 90 degrees, and force the rubber' to a copper half-circle tube in a way it stretches, and wait till the heat transfers. After that you rotate it back where the unstreched rubber touches a flat copper sheet to remove the heat from the flat copper surface. Second idea in the next comment
