What made the movie more impactful and terrifying was the fact that it came out less than ten years after the moon landing.

Maybe it’s just me but I always felt that the cat was sinister adding a whole extra dimension of suspense to the scene. Such a classic film and franchise still going today as we speak .

Brett’s alternate death scene is even more terrifying! The Alien grabbing and squeezing his head until blood bursts out, and then biting his skull before taking him away is always tough to watch!😳

Those clinking chains ⛓️ were the tipoff that something bad was about to happen. Like a hanging or a skewering. I remember watching this scene unfold and anticipating a deadly event. Harry Dean Stanton has such a sad face that you just know he’s doomed. He’s not going to make it because he’s not the heroic type. It’s like he’s a born victim.
