I really appreciate you providing the specific water pump you used. But would you consider creating some type of tutorial of how you modified it into the A/C unit?

What’s that little blue hose for ? I can’t think of a possible use for that one if the water is coming out the clear pipe and it’s obviously too small to be air intake or exhaust 🤔 🤔 🧐

We have the water hose from ours go into a plastic tote. Then from the tote we’d carry buckets to the tub. That was a lot of water hauling as the tote would fill every day. So I got a submersible pump that’s usually used to drain pools or large areas of water. Ran a garden hose to the tub. This year I’m thinking I’ll just run the garden hose out the window.

I just moved my electrics out the way and put the air conditioner on a secure surface coffee table with a bucket 🪣 for the over flow pipe, works a charm you are suppose to keep only about a 30° angle on the hose pipe air vent on mine so that helps too 😮

I don't use the lower drain port. The only way to escape from the oceans, I use only the upper drain port.

I will never buy LG products again. Their Portable AC's suck, bought two had first one for 3 years before it crapped out, second is still working but with tons of issues, both units kept leaking from the bottom even with hose attached to the part where you release the water. Supposedly AC has a way of telling u when to release water but doesn't. And it's just not a little water. it's a lot. It comes out the bottom and sides and from the back hose. I had to place the ac in a plastic container to avoid water everywhere. We had to keep emptying the two containers with water pumps constantly, especially when it was real out outside. Their ac's are hella loud and pull too much energy. Bought a whytner ac and the difference is crazy so much better than lg brand, doesnt leak and will not turn on if the reservoir is full and u need to empty first, doest need to empty out a lot of water like LG. It's quiter doesn't pull as much electricity electricity and cools my room way faster. Also, LG's AC hoses to their units are 100 dollars each, they also suck and break within months of buying a new one, the hoses get too dry from the heat and cracks, had to spend 300 on 3 new hoses, eventually the hoses have to be repaired with foil tape, complete bs. Whytner AC has two sturdy hoses that have not given us any issues as of yet. I bought two Whytner AC units and love them both. I also have LG tv's that suck and keep losing wifi connection, with a quick google search, this is an issue with their tvs. Needless to say, LG has proven to me they make shit products, and I can say this from experience. Never again.

Too bad your duct and water hose aren't sealed off, so the temperature never truly gets regulated in the room.
