Ha. Don’t come to the federal government. Pay raise and time off for just being mediocre. Don’t get me wrong, lots of amazing people work in the government but managing is very difficult because of how things are set up.

Don't quite agree, I've never been to a job where I just did the job I was hired. Managers are always trying to connect task to workers and you find yourself working a completely different job or covering other things that become more important to the company. Just because an employee doesn't have people under them doesn't mean they're not holding down the fort. Shit like this is why this generation coined the term work my wage. Most bosses are out of touch about how much work their employees do
