We set ourselves the task of ONLY eating street food for 24 hours whilst in Manila, for the simple reason that we fancied a challenge. We didn't realise it would open our minds (and taste buds!) up to a selection of new things and some of the tastiest food we've eaten in the Philippines so far. Many tourists or foreigners are wary about street food and it's associations with food poisoning or bad hygiene so we are here to debunk that! You are just as likely to get food poisoning from eating food in a restaurant and by avoiding street food, you're missing out on a wealth of different foods, tastes and very budget friendly options.
Anyway, we started the day at Salcedo morning market (we filmed a whole video on this market and everything we ate there so go and check that video out too!) which had an amazing selection of both Filipino and International foods. We really enjoyed the weekend vibe and tried Hungarian sausage, empanadas, the Filipino food favourite chorizo pudpud and fresh juices.

Try going to Quiapo and Binondo to try more Filipino street food. It's street food is expensive there in Makati.
