I don’t know what’s gotten worse, the spring rains 🌧️ or our drainage…but it’s the worst it’s ever been! I’m glad because I think the torrential downpours have stopped, but I know we will be wishing for more very soon! We have added a lot of new additions and beds in our yard, but ugh…it’s gotten to where you can’t even enter our house when it’s raining because our sidewalks and driveway are flooded! Instead of letting the water and poor drainage kill our grass and plants, we have been adding river rock beds off of our driveway and sidewalk. My husband buried a sump pump in the one off of the driveway, but it still can’t keep up! We will continue to add new drainage features to our landscape…who knew you could turn ugly drainage into landscape perfection! River rock or pea gravel are excellent options to consider.
