40,000 light years away and it'll ONLY take us 2.500 yaars to reach it? That simple sentence makes absolutely zero sense, seeing that lightspeed is an absolute limit and there is no way (apart from magic or some form of error in quantum mechanics/physics) to accelerate past it so as to even make the journey in anything less than 40,000 years. Even barring that, any rocket strong enough to push the planet to even a high fraction of lightspeed still runs the risk of having the planet fracture apart due to cosmic ray & micrometeorite impacts... Weird

Moving the entire Earth to Proxima Centauri with giant engines is physically impossible β just escaping the Sunβs gravity would take more energy than humanity could generate in hundreds of billions of years, and accelerating a planet to even 1% of light speed would need energy on the scale of millions of times our annual global output. Even if the energy existed, the thrust would tear the crust apart, wreck the atmosphere and oceans, destabilize the Moon, and wipe out life long before the trip even began

Bro I just have to say no amount of thrusters we have now on the scale of billions would be minsucle to move earth and that's one problem, because you got to fight very strong gravity
