This brings back so many of my early childhood memories & feelings from the early & mid 1980s... Its weird how so many of us get that same feeling from Boards of Canada's music, its just weird... so weird but so damn cool & amazing really.. like they figured out how to layer some kind of memory triggering signals into the sound. I've ALWAYS gotten that same feeling from their music ever since the first 1 I ever heard, "ROYGBIV" back around year 2000 or so & fell in love with them.

Hmm I would say this video draws attention to the high structured environment children of the 80s 90s and 00s increasingly grew up in. Where children of the past has a more secular experience, children today are exposed to so many standards and measurements. The system rewards the few who make it and parents, knowing all of this, want only the best for their child. Children start off empathetic, but are taught to compete and not to cooperate, to learn new things quickly but not to teach others.

i think this is by far the best BoC out there cause it follows a red line and conveys a meaning..most inofficial BoC video are just randomly pasted pieces of footage intended to look weird or mysterious, but they dont have the feel of the "thing behin"...remember that BoC comes from the oldschool times when they were watching documentaries and suffering from the bad music in it..it is a documentary state of mind that lies within BoC tracks combined with the beauty of life itself

This is definitely BoC. Slag Boom Van Loon is the moniker of a collaboration between Mu-ziq and Speedy J who released a forgettable self titled album in 1998. These tracks were later covered by various artists including Four Tet and BoC on a remix album called So Soon as a hat tip. This is a reprise of the original Poppy Seed remix (also by BoC) and is very different from the original. Personally I'd regard it as an original work, and the animation definitely does justice to it.
