My friend you are correct. You see many people get this one detail wrong and it's which Anakin fights Windu. If Nightfall Vader fought Windu he would lose cuz Windus fighting style is strongest against sith. Now if it was Anakin before killing dooku Anakin would win because in a straight up lightsaber duel Anakin was the superior duelist, but it still would be close.

Windu would destroy him, as we seen from Anakin fighting 83 years old Dooku that Anakin gets his strength from ha anger and if you are fighting with anger Mace is gonna destroy you with a clap in the cheeks

Been confirmed in the ROTS deleted scene that anakin did beat mace (but deleted it cause of how long the movie already was)
In the ROTS 2005 Game Anakin had beated mace as that was the alternative in the movie of what would of happend
