Don't agree with that. Drove a fuel truck for two years, very early hours, dealing with the inclement weather and the long pull of the fuel hose along with the health hazards. Good money but you'll definitely earn it.

Not tapping on your trailers before you load can cost the company 20-30k just by mixing diesel/gasoline. Open the wrong valve out of order which causes a spill, if it’s bad enough EPA will be called and the bill from them starts with x0,000.

I hauled food service and fuel, mostly food service, though, and have been a cdl class a truck driver for 19 years. He is absolutely correct. A mistake can be costly! I'm currently driving for Walmart Private Fleet. I constantly feel like I'm walking on eggshells. It almost reminds me of fuel service. The money is great, but I miss running up and down the ramp.

I haul fuel on the weekends. As long as you pay attention to what you are doing, you will be fine.
