This is someone who wanted to make a tooltips video & doesn't understand any of the things they were doing; why would you have two combination wrenches when you're hammering nails into wood? At that point you'd have to intentionally carry extra tools to do something the hammer already does

You could very easily just spray the nut and the oil will work its way through the gaps between the threads. You don’t have to mess either up by drilling them.

In case you are interested. You are using the adjustable wrench backwards. The solid jaw should trail the direction of travel.

FFS. Don't drill your threads before spraying with WD40. It's a penetrating oil. Just spray it on and let it go to work. It doesn't need a hole.
