Thanks to Reddit user sarahMCML for the circuit description.
Goal:
- Control the backlight of LCD using PWM signal from ESP32
Difficulties:
- LED backlight runs at 5v
- GPIO pins from ESP32 output at 3.3v
- LED backlight has cathode (negative side) internally shorted to ground, can only access anode (LED+/positive side) on header pins
- Using only commonly available 2n3904 and 2n3906 transistors
