Getting ready to rebuild my BMW R100 Calipers and I think I’ve spotted a problem. Interested to know if anyone has successfully sealed a caliper with this kind of corrosion around the transfer port. The look DOA to me. Argh!

Jon. Good egineering company can sort that. Skim the mating surface say 0.25mm then reform/spot face where the seal goes 0.25mm. Really simple job

Bit of a gamble when your life may depend on them, replacements won’t be that expensive and you’ll have piece of mind! Brakes, wheels and tyres not worth cutting corners! 👏👍

You can either suck it and see , have them machined , buy new callipers .....getting progressively more expensive ! Those o rings do get squished pretty flat so I'd try them 👍

I guess there’s only one way to know for sure. Build up the caliper and test it. I have a feeling you might get away with that
