Ive had a tile redi pan on my 3rd floor shower now that i installed in 2017; it has never once leaked, sweat, or had any issues with it. Great purchase for multi level showers.

Heβs using that much mortar because the pan is flimsy pvc or abs material, not blown acrylic mold. Itβs a preference, either pan or tile, donβt compare the 2 like a pair of apples

Why isn't anyone talking about the fact that he had access to the plumbing below but still glued the fitting during the installation. He could have waited to glue the trap and done it from below later and not risk not getting it to sit all the way because of the excessive amount of mortar he used.
