I heard this before and I still say YTA for wanting 50% and not 49%. While the difference might seem small, it is one that will allow him to focus on the business and not have to ask your approval for every move he makes, or to assure you are kept up to date with every aspect of a subject you don't sound invested in.
It would also assure that any future AP you might have (fair talk given you said divorce) cannot manıpulate you into horrible investments.
