I remember how cold I felt when I emerged from my motherโs warm body and the bright lights and my auntie being one of the nursesโฆ.and finally the joy and comfort of being held by my momma for the first time. โค

My earliest memory is being held by my father. His finger was tracing my face, I could feel the warmth of his arm through the white blanket with tiny yellow rosebuds on it. My two older brothers were siting on either side of him, my mother standing in front of him and my youngest brother was right above my head, as clear as all of the others. The love, pure joy and excitement I felt defies words.
When I asked my mother if that happened, she lit up and said, โYes! That was the day we got home from the hospital after you were born.โ
She said my father thought I had completed the family, but she knew the moment I was born she wanted another child. (WHO does that after hours of labor and natural delivery?!!) My brother was born 18 months later. Much to my fatherโs delight.

When my daughter was around 5 she told meโฆno prompting from meโฆwhat happened while she was being born. She told me about her nose being squished before her head came out and then she heard the discussion about clamping the cord, the bright light in her face and so on. I missed all of that because back then they knocked us out during labor and delivery ๐ข. It blew me away at the time
