For all of our new friends here, there are two ways to make a car seat or mattress or bassinet resistant to fire: add toxic chemicals or use naturally fire retardant materials, such as wool.

Many of the car seat, mattress, and bassinet manufacturers make some models that are FR free. This shows that they know flame retardants are a problem and that there is a market for these items without toxins‼️

🤯 So why, then, would they make ANY car seat/mattress/bassinet with these toxic chemicals? Well, the short answer is: it’s cheaper.
