Here’s what to expect at Squid Games in NYC and whether it’s worth the money 💰

When you first get in, everyone gets a wrist band with their player number and also takes a picture 📸 for the player board. You scan your wristband at the end of each game if you win to keep track of your overall score and player standings.

After all 24 of us got our profiles set up, we started the first game - glass bridge 🌉 We were given a couple seconds to memorize a pattern of green squares ✅ This required good concentration and some sequences are trickier than others!

Next was throwing marbles where Kevin got super competitive, landing him in 2nd place while I was 5th overall. Tip: don’t pick the triangle 🔺 unless you want the hardest shape!

Now for battleship where we split into 2 teams. Pro tip: Sit in the front of your ship so you can be captain and choose where to fire. There’s multiple ships to captain on each side. Our team sank all the other team’s ships 🛳️ so we won!

Now the iconic red light green light 🚦This was more difficult than I expected to stay still but slow is steady so I was still one of the first to make it across. Poor Kevin got eliminated so I slid into first place!

Which earned me a ticket 🎟️ to the final game where I competed with a little girl to see who would trigger the jack in the box. Everyone else got a chance to vote how many times we would turn it.

And I actually won, getting me access to the VIP lounge, a mask, and a discount for future games 🤩 At $39 for the hour, it’s not the cheapest, but we still had a lot of fun.
