I used to work the Funai/Philips booth at CES. Before theft became a major problem working out on the floor, they'd usually give away the display models of their products because that would be the only use they would get and they didnt feel like packing up their products to ship home just to throw them away, or sit on a shelf for who knows how long. Pretty sure I still have a portable DVD player or two sitting around somewhere.

I still prefer the old school aux jack speakers. They fucking work! If I want to turn the volume down, I turn the knob. If I want more volume, I turn the knob. If I want to turn them off, I turn the knob. Bluetooth on the other hand is a mystery. The amount of time I've wasted looking at the buttons to make sure I've got the right one is impressive. The new android UI moved the call button on the text screen. Now I have to find it before I can use it. What was a one step process is now two. Fuck technology and all the NT's who think they can code.
