Seems like a less efficient plunger, which is already inferior to the auger imo. I do think this trick is cool if you needed to unclog a toilet and all you have is a brush. But don't be surprised if it doesnt work. Also yes, i promote homeowners trying the basic stuff like plunging before calling a plumber.

YOU WONT BELIEVE IT, first of all my toilet was very clogged, and i was getting desparete and scared. I tried this and IT WORKED If anybody is scared that this is fake, its not. I tried it worked so well the second i just did it. Plunger and Brush still works.

I’m a service plumber and I’ve been to a call where someone broke this brush trying to unclog it, into the toilet and got it stuck. We had to pull the toilet and spent 45 minutes trying every trick in the book to get it out
