This was a HUGE problem where i live in Chicago. So, what i did was install a hidden fuel line and new gas cap behind my licence plate like the cars of old, and the old fuel door no longer led to the gas tank. It led down to a separate special little tank that held about 5 gallons of a "special mixture" of gasoline and a few choice ingredients that would make anyone who put it in their car INSTANTLY regret it.

As someone taking the first-steps towards becoming a trucker, ive got a newbie-question; How does a trucker prevent someone from stealing the fuel outta the tanks? Other than parking in a safe place with lots of security/cameras/et al. I know there are some tanks that have locking-caps but i heard there are still ways to steal the fuel out of these cap-locked tanks

Worst part is when one of your fuel tanks is only working but your fuel gauge says you have at least half tank then all of the sudden your truck just shuts off on the highway

A lot of our trucks in Australia have quad tanks 2 tanks on each side and sometimes 1 at the back they can drive for days with no fuel stations

Ya, the morning after I filled the tanks. Someone siphoned all my fuel off. Run out on I-90 goin into Chicago. At least I got off the hwy and it was company fuel.

How does your gauge read 1/2 tank when empty? A proper pre trip inspection with a “fuel stick” would be a proper thing to do. But then, I am from a different time when fuel gauges were a luxury.
