hmmm I kinda disagree with this, I think its only feasible with a DM and players who are very familiar with multiple systems. In that situation you could choose a system that best fits what you are trying to run, but from my experience both DMing and playing is that the vast majority of people are only vaguely familiar with one system (which is also almost always 5e). Getting players to all learn and adopt a new system is ususally a huge amount of work that I feel is often always overlooked.

Im being the DM for the first time witj friends and i dont know how to start it. Im planning to do a medieval setting with futuristic stuff thrown in but cant decide where to begin as i dont want to just go "you meet im a tavern" thing. Any idea to help??

For context, the 'problems' I'm talking about aren't always gamebreaking but rather rules that your group choses to change. Sometimes this gets out of hand to where you have entire documents of changes when you could solve a lot of your own problems by migrating to a new system. I genuinely believe there is a system out there for every group.
