I’d assume the answer is, that IS his head. Like it just becomes his head. Similar to how the symbiotes by itself isn’t Venom, and Eddie by himself isn’t Venom, but when they come together, they become the creature known as Venom.

Eddie is probably hiding in venom's torso. Since venom's exoskeleton is tall and huge, it would make sense that eddie would be in his torso.

you can make a hole in venom's torso without impaling the person inside, because there is no person. he is venom. that's why people with the symbiote can transform their limbs and stretch them, and it's why venom can melt and pass through small openings in the animated series despite having a host.

I like to think of it like venom is a liquid. Like ferrofluid. Eddie is the body or the magnet for the ferrofluid. Venom takes Eddie’s body shape and clings to it so he has a body.

Since the symbiote is capable of healing the host out of nothing, it could also make sense that the symbiote can internally morph the host so i think that the flesh part in venoms mouth IS eddie, the symbiote morphs eddies head into that then when venom retreats inside eddit he quickly morphs eddie back to normal while retreating into eddie.

It's not a suit. One could imagine the fluid between cells being occupied by venom and the human cells forced to separate. Characteristics of the individual would then reflect that of the simbiote while containing the original humanoid shape. When the symbiote retreats, the human cells remain where they were originally.
