The shift from ð to d is generally in old words. However the shift from ð to z happened only recently, and most ð->z shifts would be in words borrowed recently from MSA.

Thank you for this video! This letter is the HARDEST for me to understand, as a native English speaker. I have noticed the difference of some people pronouncing it as "th..." Like the MSA style, and other (my Egyptian/Kuwaiti husband) pronouncing it as "dh...". It is the most confusing letter to understand for me 😱
