Absolutely correct! As for the age and e reliability, That's a no-brainer. Were able in short time get any vessel up to par to be seaworthy. Now we have a scrap yard with a bunch of ships with rusted out Hulls then they need to be made into a reef. I haven't heard any forward moving on that part for new reefs and quite a while. We still have battleships in reserves. Matter fact I believe that was on your channel. Matter of fact, I think there was one or two that was involved in desert shield and desert Storm. But no the answer is is no. Whether new or old, we do not have enough šŸ«£

One thing that I know for sure is; none of us know. In all likelihood, we can't even imagine the incredible weapons those ships are equipped with.

I wouldn't personally have any udea whatsoever. I have no understanding of America's logistical capacity to meet the need in a major military conflict in that part of the world. I know much could be moved by air. But I also know much more would necessitate adequate sea transport. Sal has all the credibility I need to answer the question for me, and his sense of urgency tells me this is a serious problemšŸ˜‚. Hos answer is funny, but he's clear the problem is serious. I love this channel! Thank you Sal

It's not the ship that counts but the professionalism and adequate training the naval staff have in order to operate that ship with accuracy and win the engagement.

Well said ā€œNo!ā€ We are woefully short and have been making do with a skeleton MSC fleet. The San Diego and Florida areas donā€™t even have oilers readily available for refueling!! Those warships are forced to refuel inport. We canā€™t even support 5th and 6th fleet oiler operations at the same time without critical help from NATO oilers (the Italians smartly invested in some nice ones!! Check out ITS Vulcano, one of the coolest UNREP experiences). Forget about heavy-lifting cargo when you canā€™t even gas up the cargo-carrying ships out to sea on a reliable basis, let alone the destroyer escorts.

Why spend $4,000,000,000.00 on massive ships that are currently vulnerable to $25,000- $150,000 armed drones or suicide drones? (Like Ukraine has been taking out Russian war ships with remote controlled drones)

Shouldnā€™t our tax dollars be spent on the next level weapons war such as drones, computer defense/ offense, satellite and space weapons that can neutralize the targets from space, such as individuals to moving warships, to launched and flying nuclear warheads, instantly? We need innovation and progress prioritized in our weapons defense bills.

I have a different question. What are the top five companies in your sector of expertise that you think are positioned to grow substantially or succeed that are publicly traded in the US?

Why ships still continue using Red Sea even though there is danger of being attacked?

Just requisition from civilian fleets ,at least they will be younger , faster and bigger.
