Very true. I always said god was a douche and just about anyone could do better.
I can't imagine actually believing in a being that's supposed to be perfect and all powerful that is the way the bible depicts. If he created us with the ability to sin and is all powerful then he can decide the punishment for sin. Sin doesn't need to be an eternity in hell. It could be picking up litter on Wednesday afternoons. It could be having to do the dishes for your neighbors... But people would rather believe in something that will punish them for eternity. Not just causing the soul to vanish... That's ridiculous!
