Does the main tube and bypasses need to be filled up all the way with oil? How to fill all bypasses?

can the bypass shock be run by it self or does it need a second shock ? i have a typhon tube chassis with taller shock towers so i can fit the 135mm shocks . then i have a kraton 1/5 alum tube chassis thats a rock bouncer with 180mm shocks . will your 180s hold up if not can i add a spring to them ?
