We are allllllll feeling it. Looking for that dopamine hit from the amazon purchase or hair highlights, but that hit only lasts for a minute.

We are really craving being seen and feeling purposeful.

Research shows that we crave novelty every 5-7 years. Having novelty and something to look forward to is stimulating our brains in a new way and I need that in midlife.

Novelty is crucial for midlife woman because it keeps us off the hamster wheel of sameness. I am not talking about having an affair or buying a new car...I am talking about that “thing” makes you want to wake up in the morning...fun, challenging, inspiring...the “hard and good’s”.

Novelty allows room for midlife magic to take place. One thing leads to the next and before you know it, you can’t wait to spend time doing the “thing” you accidentally stumbled into.

Here’s a hint: no one is going to give you permission so start exploring and getting curious about new things you can start, try, or research.
