I didn't realize I had interaction anxiety until recently. Many times I get nervous, anxious and scared when I am spoken to or asked something. I often blurt out something that instantly comes to my mind, often defending myself or protecting myself in some way. I often give my power away for fear of being insulted rejected or humiliated by someone. I am also afraid of someone questioning, debating or arguing with me about something I said. I often "know" something., but I don't know why and how I know it or how I arrived at such and such conclusion. Hence explaining my thought or my point is not always easy for me. That leaves me feeling helpless and defeated in case someone questions my statement. This strategy is powerful. Hopefully the 3 second pause will allow me to collect my thoughts and remember the facts on which I based my statement. Thank you so much for this tip. Greatly appreciate it ❤

This is excellent. Its success also depends upon the other communicator having adequate poise and patience to not intrude on this pause. Interrupting, and discomfort with space in a conversation, has become standard. Please let's maintain the pause! It is a key to good communication.

confidence comes from within. the superficial stuff doesn't matter. a confident person will be confident, pause or no pause.

Growing up around Sociopaths and Narcissists I always struggled with that as I was trained to be hyper-responsive at all times. Luckily, I'm slowly deconditioning myself now.

I listen and learn all these things before but whenever a practical situation comes somehow I manage to forget all these things and go through the same anxiety and do the same mistakes again and again 😭

I really like this! It’s simple but I know from personal experiences that it is truly powerful. In a world where most people rush simple presence is a superpower.

Confidence comes from doing the inner work, anyone who don't think so, haven't gone through it, therefore has no idea, there's delusional confidence, (the feeling lucky one) and genuine confidence, the feeling worthy.
