“We did it!” That’s the feeling after a day you’ve crushed as a family. Everyone sleeps well because they did hard work, together, fulfilling so much potential that pride radiates from within. A lot of kids grow up directionless, not having been taught that we are meant to enjoy work, revel in the company of each other and grow in grace through the bumps and bruises we are allowed to endure and learn from. Things won’t always be so pretty. Some challenges won’t fit in with the finely tuned way of managing life or family. But even those things are an opportunity for us to see further and find deeper meaning. To rely on more than ourselves and find joy in not being alone in our struggles, and not having to rely solely on ourselves. I love so dearly seeing so many happy and well-adjusted children work together for a greater good. May others who have not been so blessed continue to find comfort, motivation and self-compassion from families who model what it is to lead with love. 🤍
