Introduction:
The Automatic Bike Stand using Arduino is an intelligent-embedded system that enhances the safety and convenience of two-wheeler riders. In this project, the traditional manual kickstand is replaced with an automated servo-controlled mechanism that retracts the stand as soon as the bike engine is started using a lock key. The stand is extended again automatically when the engine is turned off.
This smart automation not only eliminates the need for the rider to manually move the stand but also helps prevent accidents caused by forgotten stands. The system is powered by an Arduino microcontroller, which receives the ignition signal and accordingly drives the servo motor to actuate the stand. This project is an excellent demonstration of practical embedded automation, suitable for engineering students, robotics enthusiasts, and real-world vehicle safety applications.
