I found that after you turn in the coconuts, you can go get more and they stay in your inventory. I cleared the game with 99 coconuts in my inventory.

I figured this out a few years ago. I got bored with my usual playthroughs and decided to do an entire playthrough dedicated to interacting and failing every encounter. Tried my hardest to play as if I was the worst KH player in history, and I saw things I never even knew were in game.

And right there in Destiny Islands, there's a missable Protect Chain in the Riku Racetrack. I know I missed it my first time 'cause I saw the chest and had no idea how to get it, and every single angle from the zipline tower was wrong
