You should know what problems a person is committed to consistently solving in a potential relationship before bringing them into your life. At the same time, you need to know what problems you solve in a person's life that they would be hard pressed to find in the relationship market. This allows you to keep you standard high. It’s how they were raised! We need to do a better job in how we raise our girls. Men and women contribute to this. I remember my friend explaining to me how he raises his daughter to know how a man is supposed to treat her. I asked him does he teach her how to treat a man. He replied she’s going to already know that. I responded but you are placing emphasis on her knowing how a man is supposed to treat her but not how she’s supposed to treat that man. Imagine growing up being told a person is supposed to do all this stuff for you without being taught what you are supposed to reciprocate. This created entitled low value women. Which is why most women can write a book on what they think a man’s job is but can’t fill the back of a stamp with what they think a woman’s job is. This is why women today brag about being about to get sex from a man but complain about not being able to get a commitment from one.
