That Annigoni painting is sublime. How beautiful. And for a Fishing Guild? I’ve never heard of Annigoni before but he is incredibly capable of portraying emotions in human faces. The soft calm expression on her face reminds me of a Virgin Mary painting.

To me it’s crazy how every picture of the Queen conveys a sense of her character of humanity, service and integrity. I will always never get over that she has died and no matter who you are- we can always be inspired to be more like her through her values and morals

When I think of the Queen i always think if the current picture of her on the UK bank notes.
I don't know its origin but I know it has been used since around the early 90s here in England.
It has been ingrained into Brits heads, as anything would if you were seeing it daily for the past 3 decades.
Even now I can picture her Mona Lisaesque smirk.

That plaster mold used for stamps is my favorite. Looks very elegant.

Should see the portrait that hung in the old Winnipeg arena. Painted on 8 full pieces of plywood, weights 400kg. It was painted for her 50th anniversary. It was recently at polo park shopping centre around the time of her funeral.
