Patience is so incredibly important when teaching someone how to operate heavy equipment that can kill in a heartbeat.
I remember when i was a delivery driver and trained new hires, i would emphasise that when driving with me and for several weeks after, they should focus on doing the job CORRECTLY, not QUICKLY. That was even more important in winter on snowy icy roads.
Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.

The biggest thing is
Getting to the point where the car is an extension of your body and mind driving without thinking. You have started and stopped so many times that you no longer think about it no need . After that happens the rest is easy to master it just takes time and practice.

This guy is on point ie
“worth the money”

This is so true. You build up your judgement by experience. And you continue getting better and better after you pass your test.

What I don't understand in UK is
1. Why learners are allowed to be under control of family members who have no road training qualification whatsoever
2. People starting life as motorist with no or not sufficient experience in non motorist transport ( bicycle, ski, water sports, horse riding, anything else which moves faster than own legs at walking speed) which should have well build up their ability to judge and observe moving objects and predict trajectory of anything of possibility to become a hazard.
As teenies we did so much free sport in school and lical Council sports clubs that we did not need many lessons to master driving test.
What we needed, was theory, motorway and hazardous weather conditions and night driving and first aid course ( mandatory in many EU countries- in UK they are now thinking of using firebrigade as replacemnt for lack or paramedics which are stuck quth patients as there is a lack of nurses processing the. And a lack of hooutak beds and lack of medical staff etc etc😅) , which I UK is still missing as basics
