Idk I don’t spend money on the crown store and because of the endeavor system I have 2 Apex mounts I wouldn’t have along with a whole bunch of other goodies. I’m not feening to spend my endeavors either as I know the crates will always turn up again eventually. I like having a reason to do certain things and incentives to log in. That’s just me though, I know some people tend to never have mastered restraint.

I think with the new update you can actually get more endeavors but it's still slow. I just spent 16k on a mount 2 weeks ago and I'm already back at 2k

Playing FF14 has shown me how much better rewards can be in these games, trying out wow and after hearing how egregious their storefront is has made me realize how much worse and bad off eso truly is. This game is a sorry cesspool and the only thing keeping this trash pile alive is the elder scrolls brand name, and nothing else. Would have been dead on launch otherwise.

Shit let's talk about the so called 2% chance on a radiant, which is false in the last year I have bought prolly over 200 crates and have yet to open one. At 2% I should have at least 2 but fuck I'd take 1 and say rng but no not even 1 out 200+ that's not a 2% chance

For me, it’s just one more lucrative “option” to add to things you want in the game (not that they’re necessary) just cosmetic mostly. What I’m really enjoying is items like the staffs, in the most recent event that are bound to our character account!👍 instead of promoting the greed of some ESO players.$$ it’s become so bad lately. More character bound, exclusives based on in game

Making a problem out of nothing. Endeavors are a passive currency to be earned throughout your normal play. If you are trying to farm endeavor's and are upset about it then stop. You are literally watching a clock tick away. Get on with your life and realize time flies when you're having fun. You want to talk about a real issue that plagues the community. I say this as a player who follows the meta and runs endgame content. I challenge you to find a SINGLE endgame trial core that doesnt have 8-9 arcansists in their group as if the content wasnt getting cleared right before arc dropped. The exclusion factor amongst the PLAYER base is real. You're not an arc?? GTFO or carry my damn luggage as a support.

There is one hole in that logic - there is no way to buy seals of endeavour (as far as I am aware) for crowns, and items in the endeavour store are not in crown store either.
The only way to "pay off fomo" with irl money, in case of being short on seals of endeavour on a time limited offer, it trying to get gamble crates in hope of getting enough of crown gems, in time.
One could argue it is much worse, because instead of pressuring to just spend irl money, it tries to pressue you to gamble, but the whole "you are missing only x amount" is mechanism that does not get engaged there, because gems are separate currency, so it doesn't matter that you are "just this much short off" in seals, in gems you'd need to get through whole thing from scratch.
So in short, I'd say it is not a system to pressure you to buy crowns, but rather legal excuse to distract from gamble boxes being what they are in "but you can earn all rewards for free!" style.
