I did that for a year and can state with confidence that coffee is absolutely vile and bitter without a wee dash of sugar. I doubt anyone wouldve ever started drinking it if it wasn't for the sweetener.

if you add a small pinch of salt to your coffee, it can really help neutralize the bitterness and acidity. it also ensures nobody will steal your coffee

I agree! I weened myself off sweeteners and CREAM. Firstly, I stopped the sweeteners and used real heavy whipping cream. Basically because whipping cream has a natural sweetness to it. Then I weened myself off the cream very slowly adding less each week and after two months I was drinking black coffee less strong and it was great tasting and less fattening with zero calories.
