It's nice to see Sri Lankan "joget" for the first time. Kapirinna Baila is similar to the Malaysian "joget" and "branyo" music - obviously owing to Portuguese influence brought to Melaka (now a part of Malaysia) and Sri Lanka. Anyway, I just want you to know that this music's upbeat tune made my day. May Sri Lanka be blessed with happiness, peace, prosperity and unity. Terima kasih (Thank you). :)

Even though I am not Lankan, I enjoyed this song very much. On the matter of changing names, only the weak deny their past.

This is a song sung by a Sri Lankan Baila [not the same meaning in Spanish] singer called Desmond Silva. Dont be fooled by the video, its no way him...

Have some sense. This song is a beautiful Srilankan baila song (in South Asia) . If you can't get the original video doesn't mean you mix this audio to any other culture's video irrelevantly. Hope you stop running behing cheap fame.

You are right Ms Infantry division. Why is it I am thinking of the Sri Lankan Tamils or the original inhabitants of that Island. Would you advise us what happened to them before the 'sinhala' chaps from Orisa? No No. Nobody is suggesting that the work Sinhala and genocide should be used in the same sentence.

What do u mean SHOULD HAVE ?? We Already Have Fine Art. People Like Amaradeva, Victor, Dr Kemadasa Are/Were Very Good Artists.. Maybe You Have Not Heard Of Them Or May Be You did Not Know They Were Performing Well. I Do Not Want To Start An Arguement Here. There Are Things That People Like And People Dont Like. In This Case You Dont Like This Music But There Are Pople Who Do. So Let Them Enjoy This In Peace. If You Dont Like It Dont Bother To Comment. Just Proceed As You Never Saw Any. Cheers!

sure it did, but our traditional cultures and languages are important too. Just don't internalise whiteness please, and hold the Europeans accountable for the damage they've caused with colonialism too.

@pissopatricio That does not make sense as change is inevitable. Every Asian country had indigenous names for the streets and locality before the europeans made their presence. In my opinion, the changing of names is an indication that the Europeans are no longer the rulers and the natives of Asia determine their destiny. If the people so wish to change their street names, then it is their choice!
