Five or six years ago we took a day cruise over to Freeport Bahamas, from Palm Beach Florida. We walked around the island a little and went back to the ship early, only to find they had the cargo section of the ship open, and we're using tractors to drag off wrecked automobiles from the U.S. Apparently cars that are totaled are still roadworthy in the Bahamas.

2003 was one of the years that were recalled for frame rot, Toyota would put a brand new frame under them.. this one must have never got it lol

If the frame is available new from Toyota for even $2K and it costs another $2-3K in labor to swap it out, it is worth it. That truck will last to a million miles with basic maintenance. A new Tacoma for 10 times the cost will not last as long.

I live in California, my dads 02 Tacoma had 487k miles when we sold it, he bought it new, that truck never gave us issues.

I just did a pretty massive frame repair job on an 02 Envoy a week ago. And I once replaced the rear half section of the left side frame rail on my old 78 Dodge W150 back in my mid 20's.
If it's not you doing the work to your own vehicle, then it's usually more work than the vehicle is worth, but it can be done...
