During this rest day of mine, I spent it revisiting Gyeongbok Palace or Gyeongbokgung Palace. It was the first and largest of the royal palaces built in 1395 during the Joseon Dynasty. Here, you can rent a hanbuk, walk around the palace and even in Gwanghwamun Square, and feel like a prince or princess for the day. Prices are the following; 4 hours: ₩17,900(Php771.97)~ 1 day: ₩27,900(Php1203.24)~ 2 days: ₩37,800(Php1630.20)~ Additional hours: ₩5,000(Php215.63) per hour.

Outside the Gyeongbok Palace is Gwanghwamun Square. It is a historical landmark where the statue of King Sejong is located in central Seoul, South Korea. It is dedicated to the 15th-century Korean monarch, Sejong the Great, the fourth king of the Joseon dynasty and one of Korea's most famous historical figures. The statue is considered one of Seoul's major landmarks. Unveiled in 2009, it has been called "South Korea's most iconic statue."

As you can see in my video, children are playing with the water fountains installed at Gwanghwamun Square. This is due to summer's super-hot season. Summer in South Korea starts in June and ends in August. It is definitely hot and humid. It gives me the feeling of always being thirsty.😁

After Gwanghwamun, I took the subway train to Myeong-day for my dinner. And just to ease the thirst and hunger, I bought tanghulu or bingtang hulu. It is a traditional Northern Chinese snack consisting of several sugar-coated or syrupy fruits on a bamboo skewer.

For my dinner, it was a bit special because it was my first time eating at a restaurant alone. An achievement! I had wagyu beef, samgyeopsal, soju, and a lot of side dishes, and it was superb.

I am unquestionably coming back to South Korea 🙏🏻.
