Yep! Last year took me 2 weeks to get one with 1and1/2 inch spurs. Same thing everyday... off the roost and go the other way gobbling. One morning...one call...then moved around a pond...one more call and came right in.

I saw a big tom a couple days ago out deer hunting. That made me feel good to know I'm in the right spot when spring turkey season opens up in March. I'm thinking he may have been the one I heard gobbling last spring. I've never harvested a turkey so maybe this will be my spring. Thanks for all of your advice Mr. Dale. I'll definitely be using it in the turkey woods. Stay safe out there ❤

So, here's a question I never got a solid answer to: I've got multiple areas I hunt and I rotate through them depending in weather etc, but I never do the same one three days in a row if I can help it. It's always a day or two in one spot, a day or two in another, one I specifically hunt over after a day or two of good rain (like where I'll be monday) and my thought is I'm not pressuring them in case they made me so now they don't see me in the same place day after day. So I can go back a few days later, or somewhere close, and try again.

I like it better than dragging a big buck out of the woods....never thought I say it but its true. The challenge never gets old. My respect goes out to the turkeys for keeping me actively hunting its what I enjoy the most....congrats on the kill. Cmon spring of 2024. I am waiting..
