Because science is a great way to get rid of biases and it keeps showing things said in the quran are incorrect. Most muslims deny evolution despite it passing every scientific test we have thrown at it and all the empirical evidence for it, you know, the best evidence we have in the world today.

Absolutely! The whole "scientific miracles" movement was, unfortunately, very misplaced.
I've seen quite a few people who base their belief in Islam purely on that and, when they see that those things are wrong, have nothing to hold onto with their belief in Islam.
