The key thing about Scrawling is that he triggers on YOUR upkeep. Means it's harder for your opponents to utilize that extra card immediately.

I just pulled Scrawling Crawler on Arena yesterday, looked at it and Roaming Throne that I’ve had forever but never used, and immediately tossed both into my Sheoldred brawl deck.

I love playing Scrawling Crawler in my Ob Nixilis Captive Kingpin deck, constantly feeding the demon for big swings somewhat early on.

Scrawling Crawler is the good choice for a Winter's deck too. Even in a graveyard, there are 2 out of 4 types in Delirium as well.

The crawler carried me in multiple drafts, goes in many archetypes of commander, really a good card

As soon as I saw Banner of Kinship I knew it was going to be good. Probably because Im playing a couple tribal decks right now, my favorite being changelings. If I have at least 5 changelings out and play this, they all get +5/+5? Crazy.

Scrawling crawler is so good in limited as well. The passive damage is great and when you have other big beaters on board, it takes attention away from it. Plus people like the extra card so they keep it on board until it’s too late to recover. Super good against the blue decks. Loot, I also underestimated, until I got to play him in limited and again, he’s great because not only am I ramping to get to my big spells like the new dragon enchantment or the Eldrazi, but I bring out creatures when my hand is empty/has no creatures. His utility is great. I’ll slot him into a commander deck 👀
