I was at this event (This was in Australia) and saw this guy come in! I didn’t witness the impact at the end however his actions almost completely cancelled the day’s event, if not for the fact he ended up through the fence and legally off site of the airfield.

From @chipcity3016: first hand knowledge- the pilot was on medication and was not in the correct state of mind and froze. He neglected to close the throttle, got confused, and couldn’t figure out what the problem was. He is an experienced pilot who made a bad choice to fly while medicated. He later recovered and regained his pilot certificate.
My own input:
Viewer inputs like this are extremely helpful because the news media only reported that he was treated for shock and didn’t mention any of this. This took place at the 2014 Tyabb Air Show in Australia.
