This is The Man with the Golden Arm and he has saved over 2.5 million babies. After needing 13 liters of blood for a surgery at the age of 13, this Australian man named James Harrison pledged to donate blood once he turned 18. It was discovered that his blood contained a rare antigen which cured Rhesus disease. He has since donated blood more than 1100 times. That’s once every two weeks for 42 years and 2 months.

Amazing content really, but with a mistake, a major one as he does not have a rare antigen, he has a strong response of anti rhesus antibodies against Rh antigen. These antibodies are used to treat hemolytic disease of the newborn (which may occur if the mother is Rh negative and baby Rh positive), by giving anti Rh antibodies to the mother just after delivery of first newborn. (Risk is 0% in first newborn and keeps on increasing exponentially with every pregnancy, even abortion).
